We cover a diverse range of topics: reflections on the formation of the United States of North Africa, the struggle against forced Arabization, alerts regarding anti-Amazigh racism, as well as current events, new publications, traditional wisdom, and North African spirituality.
Amazigh 24 is one of the pioneering North African websites. Some of you may have known us under different names: Cultures Afrique du Nord (1996), Berbère 24, or Amazighnews. This Amazigh portal was initially conceived to increase awareness of North African cultures and to popularize the Amazigh civilization, a civilization that is consistently marginalized, either through intellectual laziness or political compromise with Arab-Muslim states.
Promoting and Valuing all Imazighen
We work to broaden the visibility of the term “Amazigh,” which is often mistakenly reduced to Morocco alone, whereas the term applies to all Imazighen. The primary vocation of Amazigh 24 is to help strengthen the visibility of the cultural and economic continent of North Africa and to promote the richness of its authentic cultures.
